Lot 888
An Edwardian tortoiseshell jewel box with hinged lid, with silver plated mounts throughout, raised on 4 bun feet (1 loose) 9" £150-200

On first glance this box looks in very good order. However, on closer inspection there are numerous cracks and chips to the tortoiseshell. These include; a crack to the inside of the lid, chips of the front left hand corner of the box, a crack to the left side, a crack to the base on the insde of the box and numerous scratches to the tortoiseshell. All of the inlay is complete and although the rear right hand foot is not attached, it is still with the box.
