Nicole Freres, a 19th Century German table top musical box playing 6 aires, the interior with original label marked no. 358 and retailed by T Cox Savor & Co Exporters 47 and 54 Cornhill London, contained in an inlaid rosewood case. The movement marked Nicole Freres A Geneva, numbered 30161 18"w x 5" h x 6 1/2" d SOLD £1100

The mechanical movement is in good condition having no broken teeth and plays well. A 4" section of moulding is missing to the left hand side and a 6 1/2" section to the right hand side of the case. There is worm to the underside of the case and the front left foot has deteriorated. There appears to be a handle missing form either side of the case as evidenced by the holes.
