The painting is an oil on board and is signed to the bottom left hand corner. The back of the picture has \"The Isle of Tholen, River Scheldt, Holland\" handwritten on it. The painting is signed and dated to the bottom left corner. There is some dirt to the apinting but ir appears to be caught underneath the glass rather than ingrained into the picture. There have been some damage and repairs to the frame.
