Note: Born in Belfast, Thomas Carr studied at the Slade School of Fine Art before travelling widely in Europe and later settling in Newcastle, County Down. Associated with the Euston Road School during the 1930s, he is best known for realist paintings of domestic interiors and rural landscapes.
