An early first pattern Fairburn Sykes dagger together with scabbard. The blade measuring 168mm (in total 295mm) weighing 242g and stamped The FS Fighting Knife and Wilkinson Sword Co Ltd. The dagger has no other official markings or stamps. The early brown leather scabbard (without wings) has a nickel chape.
The dagger was the property of Royal Marine L G Elliot service no PO/X5111 (name and number on reverse of scabbard) whose service medals are also being sold in this auction as lot 450
