Jonathan I Richardson (British 1667-1745) - Three Quarter Length Portrait of Sir Thomas Bury (1655-1722), Chief Baron of the Exchequer, oil on canvas, circa 1719, 126cm x 100cm, within a gilt composition frame.  (re-lined) Note: a similar portrait of Thomas Bury by Richardson is in the collection of Gray's Inn, London.  A portrait mezzotint was published after one of these paintings by John Smith in 1720

Note: Fred Archer, a renowned English flat race jockey of the Victorian era, was hailed as "the best all-round jockey that the turf has ever seen." These chairs were previously used in the Fortnum and Mason boardroom and were made by the After Noah workshop in 2017-2018 to match chairs originally purchased in the 1920's
