William Abbott, an 18th Century 8 day, 5 pillar movement striking on bell longcase clock with 30cm square dial signed Wm Abbott Sarson Fecit ( made in Sarson Hants ), silvered chapter ring, gilt spandrels, subsidiary second hand and calendar aperture,  contained in a chinoiserie style and floral painted case, complete with pendulum, key and weights, 220cm h.  William Abbott is recorded in Baillie, G.H. "Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World" as working in Sarson (Hants) during the early 18th century
