Joseph Lang, a cased pair of early 19th Century 44 bore percussion pistols (converted from flintlock), both blued octagonal barrels stamped with London company and view proof marks and engraved "I Lang Haymarket".  The pistols numbered 1 and 2 on the breach and numbered 465 and 466 on the trigger guard respectively.  The stocks and grips in walnut, the grips having checkered pattern with bright steel roccoco buttcaps.  The lock plate and hammer engraved with floral design.  The walnut case fitted with label of "Joseph Lang, 22 Cockspur Street" and containing ball mould, 2 turnscrews, wadding punch, copper and brass powder flask, cleaning rod, mallet. The case having having two compartments containing oiler, a bone brush and a collection of shot

A 1930's, World War Two Japanese Company officers Shin Gunto (military sword), the blade 68cm long including copper collar, the Tsuba decorated blossoms and hearts with the o-seppas having pierced hearts,  the Tang with 7 character mark and V-shaped file mark pattern, the standard bound pommel decorated blossoms with brown and blue dress knot attached to the buttcap, the scabbard of black lacquered wood with removable leather cover attached by two press studs

The yellow card impressed bottom left "The London Stereoscopic Company 54 Cheapside", the reverse printed "The Great Eastern In the Stereoscope Photographed by special permission of the Board of Directors I.K Brunel Esq.." (taken on his last visit to the Ship).  84mm x 174mm

In this photo from 5th September 1859 Brunel had been making a final inspection visit, but shortly after this photo was taken he suffered a stroke and died ten days later.
