British School, J.N. a pair of 20th Century oil on canvas, Rustic Scene with Figures outside a Thatched Cottage and Rustic scene with a figure on a Lane near a thatched Farmhouse, both signed with initials and dated '22, each 25cm x 35cm, each within a stained wood frame.
Alexis van Hamme (Belgian, 1818-1875), "The Letters" (A Lady in an Interior Setting reading a Letter with a Spaniel at her Feet and a Cittern on the wall beyond), oil on panel, signed and dated 1874 recto, Christie's stencil and titled label verso, 55cm x 44cm, within a gilt composition frame with foliate strapwork and centre and corner crestings. Provenance: Christie's 12th June 1996, lot no.214.
