A George III mahogany bureau bookcase the upper section with moulded and dentil corner, fitted adjustable shelves enclosed by panelled doors and having candle slides, the base fitted a fall front revealing a well fitted interior above 4 long graduated drawers with brass swan neck drop handles, raised on bracket feet 87"h x 42"w x 24"d SOLD £620

There is a section of ogee moulding missing from the left hand door and there are signs of timber being let in above the lock and to the right hand edge of the fall front We believe the handles to be original but the knobs to the candle racks and loafers look to be replacements The lock has been replaced in the bookcase and there is a lock missing on the bottom drawer. The mouldings are present but have come away at the base of the bookcase. There are several pieces of veneer missing (see photos).
